Tomorrow is the full city council meeting (Open to public testimony). They will be voting on the 50 Foot height variance, and other issues. It’s important that we go to continue to add our concerns to the public record regarding the orientation of the building. This is important and may be useful in the future.
See item CR-15 (Resolution 13-2), about half-way down.
Anyone who can make it is needed. Just a short written testimony simply asking for justification of the “wall” orientation over the mauka/makai orientation which is specifically preferred by the Waikiki Special District guidelines, is all that you need to say. Again, we’re not trying to vote against the 50 foot variance, since the developers will narrow the building by 48 feet if they get it (so they say).
Register to speak and submit your testimony online at the link below: (if you can’t attend, you can still submit testimony)
Or, Written testimony may be faxed to 768-3826 or e-mailed at http://www.honolulu.gov/council/emailccl.htm for distribution at the meeting.
Time: Be there before 10 AM on Wednesday, January 30th, 2013.
Location of Meeting: Honolulu Hale – 530 South King Street (3RD Floor – Council Chamber)
